For the second year in a row, Wickens staff had prepared dozens of Christmas presents for the Toys for Tots appeal, a charitable scheme run by Worcester Community Trust.
All presents from Wickens, as well as other local businesses participating in the scheme, were delivered to children from disadvantaged backgrounds to ensure that their holidays are a bit jollier and brighter.
According to Worcester Community Trust, the gifts very gratefully received by families involved in the JOY and DAWN Projects, Worcester Foodbank, Acorns Children’s Hospice, Greenville Lodge Children’s Home and other local families.
Tony Collins, Sales Director at Wickens, said ‘Personally I think this is a great scheme run by Worcester Community Trust. Everyone here at Wickens seems to dig deep at this time of the year to give toys to this very worthwhile cause, knowing that they will undoubtedly bring a smile to many disadvantaged children’s faces at Christmas time.’
