INSTALLATION TERMS & CONDITIONS

Wickens will supply all relevant Health and Safety documentation, including Risk Assessment and Method Statement, as required. A racking installation certificate will be issued on completion.

Please consider the following factors that might affect the final installation price and duration:

  •  Our installation team will require uninterrupted access to the site for an 8-hour working day. Additional charges may apply, if the access is limited throughout the day.
  • We make an allowance of up to one hour on the first day of installation for the completion of any site induction process. Any time needed in addition to this could lengthen the installation phase and may be chargeable.
  • Where installation is quoted, this assumes clear site access.
  • Unless stated above, we will need the exclusive use of suitable plant (forklift and/or scissor lift) to install the racks on site. All plant provided by the customer/end user must be insured for third party use and indemnify our installers against accidental damage to it. If this is unavailable, then we will hire in a suitable truck at an additional cost to you.
  • It is assumed that the floor is concrete, suitable for the racks and fixings used and able to withstand the combined load of racking and products stored.
  • It is assumed that the floor is level.
  • Each racking system is supplied with 2no. 3mm levelling shims per upright location. Should additional shimming be required, further charges will apply.
  • 110V power supply and adequate lighting are required throughout the day.
  • A waste disposal facility should be provided and accessible throughout the installation.
  • As per Health & Safety at Work Act, all Welfare Facilities, including toilets, washing facilities and drinking water should be available to our workforce.
