Neil Bates, Wickens External Sales Manager, visited site to assess the needs of Country Supplies. “The racking layout needed to be designed to work around the new Combilift” comments Michael Bryant, MD Country Supplies. Wickens proposed a series of cantilever racks with necessary guide rail, incorporating some existing racks. The racking maximises the available space and the capabilities of the forklift to create a more organised layout for his external area, tripling their storage capacity.

“Stock taking is much quicker”

In addition the racking has enabled Michael and his team to minimise their stock selection times and easily maintain their stock levels by using the upper storage levels for stock. Michael is happy that “stock taking is now much quicker and easier and we can make sure none of the stock is lost.”

“A long-term investment”

The racking maintains the quality of the high value product by raising it off of the floor, keeping it clean and protecting it from damage. “The racking is completely bespoke and designed around our products,” comments Michael, “This is a one-off, long term investment for us - we are happy we have received good quality products which we know will last a long time.”
